RENO (Devil’s Disciples MC Book 5) by Scott Hildreth

RENO (Devil’s Disciples MC Book 5)

By Scott Hildreth

Blurb

A psychotic kidnapper with a gun. A blindfolded ride to a ruthless drug dealer’s compound. Torture. A slow death. These were the things that were waiting for me in the parking lot while I worked the evening shift of what was sure to be my last day on earth.

Then, “he” came in for dinner.

He had a loud Harley-Davidson, a dry sense of humor, a contagious laugh, and seven friends.

All he wanted was an enchilada dinner.

But. He was my only hope.

So, I handed him his meal, gestured to the parking lot, and told him my story.

As he sauntered toward the parking lot no differently than he would have walked into a bar, I wondered just who this man was.

Finding the answer to that question wasn’t as easy as a person might think.

But it was the best ride of my life.

My Review

I’ve been a fan of Mr Hildreth’s writing ever since I read Hard. And to bring the majority of the FFMC back into Reno’s book just thrills me. But I out right laughed at the “carving” argument between Crip and Reno.

The whole relationship that begins to develop between Reno and Carma is completely unique. Neither have been in a relationship or a good relationship before, so seeing these two find their way is heartwarming. But there are definitely some major obstacles in their way. And I will be forever grateful to Tito.

One question though, is Reno his real name or just the club name? One point in the book he was asked his full name and his response was Re-No, but that was in response to a cop.

Reno is one of Mr, Hildreth’s best books. I was laughing, sighing, and on the edge of my seat at various points in this book. Now, to impatiently wait for Tito’s book.

CASH by Scott Hildreth

CASH (Devil’s Disciples MC Book 2)

by Scott Hildreth

Blurb:

When I ran out in front of his speeding motorcycle, I was desperate. I had no idea who he was. I needed help, and he was my only prayer.

Cash Flannigan was handsome. He was intense. He was irresistible. And, he was a member of Devil’s Disciples MC.

He was exactly what I needed to get out of a jam at that instant, but not at all what I needed in my life.

But, as a “thank you” for him saving me on that dreadful night, I agreed to go on a date.

After all, I was divorced, sexually deprived, and reaching an age where it seemed no one wanted me.

Having a young biker look at me with lustful eyes was a nice change.

A change that made me tingle in all the right places.

One date wouldn’t hurt

Just one…

Review:

OK, I admit it, I’m a tad addicted to Scott Hildreth’s writing. I was a quarter through another book and set it aside, just to read Cash. And I was not disappointed.

When I read Baker, and we were first introduced to Cash, I didn’t like him. Plain and simple. He was a hothead, who acted and spoke without thinking. And in a way, I kind of hoped he’d get written out of this series. While I still think of him being a hothead, he has become much more likable after finishing this book. Cash and Kimberly make quite the duo, and with Kimberly being 13 yrs Cash’s senior, really makes for an enjoyable story. The dealings with Marvin, Kimberly’s ex, were just what a lowlife like Marvin deserves.

Mr. Hildreth has said himself, this is not like his other MC series, and I agree wholeheartedly. Cash is a standalone and can be read easily without reading reading Baker first. But I suggest reading the series in order to get the most out of it.

BAKER by Scott Hildreth

BAKER (Devil’s Disciples MC Book 1)

by Scott Hildreth

Blurb:

ANDY – The day my bank was robbed by six masked men was the worst day of my life. The next day, I lost my job for not following protocol during the robbery. Eventually, I found a new job. Luckily, it was right next door to the sexiest man I’d ever met. His name was Baker. He was a biker, a badass, and he was sex on a stick.

BAKER – Six months after my MC robbed a bank, a familiar face moved in next door – the manager of the bank we’d robbed. She had no idea who I was, but I never forgot the faces of my victims. Especially when they were as smokin’ hot as she was.

Review:

First book in a new series and I can’t wait to see where this MC goes next.

The Devil’s Disciples is not like any of Mr. Hildreth’s last MC clubs he’s created. Baker’s MC is not remotely law abiding. In fact, that’s how Baker first meets Andy, robbing her bank. Things get interesting when Andy’s new job puts her right next door to the MC’s clubhouse. I like most of the other guys in this little MC, but I’m not sure Cash is one of them. His personality just rubs me the wrong way so far.

Overall, great start for the new series, but there were a few unanswered questions. I’m hoping those will be addressed in future books.

THICK by Scott Hildreth

THICK
by Scott Hildreth

Not exactly how I pictured the end for the FFMC series, but wouldn’t change a thing. I enjoyed how this all kind of ties Thick, Nut and His Rules together. It’s still very much a stand alone, in my opinion.

Bobbi and Tate meet in one of the most unconventional ways. I mean really, he’s an inmate in Federal prison and she is a guard there. How much more strange do you need? If you are after a book with lots of sex, this might not be the book for you. What this book does have is a whole lot of heart. The way Bobbi and Tate’s relationship develop couldn’t have been written any better.

The FFMC will forever be a favorite of mine. I’m dying to delve more into Mr. Hildreth’s books. Who knows where I’ll go next… Selected Sinners, Mafia Made or any of his others. But I do know I’m looking forward to it.

HIS RULES by Scott Hildreth

HIS RULES
by Scott Hildreth

I know I personally set out to read the entire series of Mr. Hildreth’s Filthy Fuckers series. While His Rules isn’t truly part of the series, detective Marc Watson is in appears frequently in the previous books. And Mr. Hildreth did release this before Thick the final book. Well, I’m off to start Thick now, but here’s my review for His Rules
My Review

Marc Watson is NOT your typical book boyfriend. He is a unique man to say the least. And when he and Taryn first met, I bust up laughing. Taryn has quite the imagination when drinking.

But when the relationship starts under Marc’s 30 day get-to-know-each-other-but-no-sex rule, things get interesting. My favorite little bit has to be Taryn’s very unique use of perfume one evening. Things like that, have to make me wonder where they come up with that.

Once again, Mr. Hildreth did not disappoint. His Rules is not your typical romance, but for myself, it was a very welcome change of pace.

NUTS by Scott Hildreth

NUTS
by Scott Hildreth

Ok, I’ll admit, I’m about a week late posting this review. Just realized tonight I hadn’t posted it yet.

My Review

Percy/P-Nut is a very unique individual. He’s been neighbors with Joey and her step dad for years. P-Nut definitely has a heart of gold. He does some questionable things with good intentions. Joey is the perfect one to balance out his crazy. The ATF agent is a perfect example.

As much as I’m loving this series, I have to put the series aside and read a couple other books i committed to. But I’m eager to get back and finish this series. Scott Hildreth has quickly become one of my favorite authors.

RIGID by Scott Hildreth

RIGID
by Scott Hildreth

I’m still going strong with this series. Loving all the characters so far.

My Review

There are definitely some surprises in this book. Smoke/Smokey is a very interesting man. (You don’t hear his real name, Grayson, is this story as much as the other guys in the previous books.) Smokey and Sandy have to be one of my favorite couples in this series. Smokey, a single dad for 17 yrs, is not one to do relationships. But an unexpected surprise and looks like that may change. I loved Smokey’s daughter, Eddie. That girl is just like her father. And the introduction of Smokey’s friend, P-Nut, had me rolling.
I’m on a roll and don’t plan on stopping just yet, on to Nuts!

DIRTY by Scott Hildreth

DIRTY
by Scott Hildreth

OK, I’m officially hooked on this series.

My Review

DIRTY is definitely more of an edge of your seat type of book. The way this starts with Alexandra/Lex, that should happen to no one. And would be something she will have to live with through no fault of her own. But Cholo/Adam finds her and the others. Rescues them and then one of the sweetest love stories starts. Yes, there is a 10 year difference between Cholo & Lex, but the relationship that develops is a magical one. I loved Cholo’s awkward questions to Crip and Pee Bee. But their troubles are not over. The gang Cholo helped rescue the girls from, they now want their drug money.

This was one book I had a really hard time putting down. The detective shows up again, starting to like him a bit better, but he still calls Pee Bee “Peanut Butter”. Now, on to RIGID (see told you I was hooked!)

ROUGH by Scott Hildreth

ROUGH
By Scott Hildreth

When I finished HARD, I just couldn’t stop myself and dived right into ROUGH. And I’m so glad I did.

My Review

This book was AMAZING! Loved every bit of it. The way Pee Bee/Brad and Tegan meet was original, to say the least. Her showing up as the potential care giver for his father, and what followed right after, was comical. Pee Bee and Tegan had me chuckling more than Hard, but it is still very much an MC book complete with a few decent other MCs thrown in. And for those who have possibly read Rough or are considering it, muzjik really is a Russian peasant (I just had to check, but wasn’t in my dictionaries I had to Google to make sure.)

Pee Bee and Tegan are positively perfect for each other. And Tegan is a wonderful addition to the FFMC family. Oh, and I love how the pesky detective is starting to call Pee Bee, Peanut Butter. I’m keeping my review a bit short, because I’m dying to get started on Dirty.

HARD by Scott Hildreth

I found Scott Hildreth through the Facebook group “Romance & Erotica Author Faternity”. I’ve purchased many of Mr. Hildreth’s books, but have never found the time to read any of them. I had a small break and decided to dive in and start his Biker MC Romance series (otherwise know as the FFMC series) and I’m seriously regretting not diving into these books sooner.  So, here is my review of the first book in this series…

HARD

by Scott Hildreth

Ok, normally MC books are not my first choice. But my friends kept telling my how good this series was. So, a little down time inbetween the books I normally gravitate to, I started Hard, the first book in Scott Hildreth’s FFMC series. I could not put it down once I started.

Peyton is the perfect woman for Nick/Crip. I had to chuckle at their initial meeting. I don’t know of any other book that could have pulled off a great story with that meeting. I’m still sitting here shaking my head as I think of it. And there were some twists in this book that I was not expecting.

I don’t know that MC books will now be a go to for me, but I’m definitely hooked on the FFMC series. I’m eager to start the next book to see where this group of men go next. Rough is next on my list.
