Once again, Kenzie had no idea if she was making the smartest of moves, but she wasn’t about to back down now. Though it was September, the weather fluctuated between stifling humid and hot to downright chilly. Right now, it was a pleasant day where she didn’t feel like she was walking through a wall of humidity, nor did she need a jacket. Between that and the bright sun and tiny dots of clouds above her, it was a pretty nice afternoon.

“This is the main drag for the town.” Dare gestured at the street. “It’s pretty much a straight line except for one part where it curves over the bridge. The creek below that only starts pumping real good after a storm or right when the run-off from the mountains begins to melt. Other than that, it’s a decent trickle that tourists like for selfies.”

As Kenzie herself had taken a selfie in front of the creek for her personal album of memories, she ignored the humor in his voice at the comment. She’d told herself she would start taking more photos and enjoy where she was and who she was now that she was free of everything that had held her back for so long.

“It’s a beautiful town,” she said simply, and she was being honest about that. Everyone took great care of their buildings and businesses. There were coffee shops, teahouses, bakeries, restaurants, antique shops, clothing stores, and a couple dozen other shops that catered to practically every need. Everything was unique and could only be found in Whiskey.

And now, she was part of it.

“It’s home.” Apparently, Dare wasn’t a man of many words today.

They walked another block in easy silence, and Kenzie sighed. She hated feeling awkward.

“So, have you always lived here?”

He looked down at her and studied her face as they waited at the crosswalk. “No. I lived in Philly for a few years.”

“Big city,” she said dryly then immediately regretted it. Weren’t they supposed to be friends now? Or at least friendly?

He snorted before stuffing his hands into his pockets. She couldn’t help but notice the way his forearms tightened at the movement. She shouldn’t be noticing the man’s arms, damn it. Nor should she think forearms were sexy.

She’d come to Whiskey for herself, and had sworn off men and relationships. That meant no more looking at Dare Collins’ arms and the way he filled out his jeans.

“Sorry about that. Like I said, I had a rough night and took it out on you.”

“You already apologized. Let’s get back to the bar. I know you have to work, and I have paperwork to go over.”

His jaw tightened as he studied her. “Starting already?”

She raised her chin and then cursed herself for doing so yet again in front of this man. He set her on edge, and she wasn’t sure if it was because they kept bumping heads or because she found him attractive when she didn’t want to.

“I’m here to help your parents, Dare, and to do a job.”

“I know you are.” He turned away from her, giving her his profile. “And I’m glad my parents are taking a step back to actually try and relax. I’m just not a fan of change. Hell, I hate it, and I hate surprises even more.”

That, she could totally understand. “I hate surprises, too. As for change? Well, sometimes, change is good.” She was living proof of that, wasn’t she?

“That’s true enough, but it doesn’t mean I’m quick to like it.” He stared at her, and she blinked at the intensity. There was something there, she thought, some heat she couldn’t quite name, and it worried her. Was he attracted to her? Or was that flare because she represented that change he wasn’t ready for?

Either way, it didn’t matter; thinking too hard along those lines when it came to Dare wasn’t something she could do.

“But I guess it doesn’t matter, does it?” Dare continued. “As for your new job? I’ll be around if you need help. I don’t know everything about the inn since I have my own two business to handle, but I can probably at least point you in the right direction. And if you’re looking for upgrades like you mentioned? Talk to Loch. I know he’s family, but he’s damn good at handyman work and carpentry when he puts his mind to it. He hasn’t done much on the inn since our parents weren’t ready to update yet, but Loch’s good at what he does.”

Surprised, she found herself nodding. She’d already heard from her new employers about Loch and how he could help, and she was glad to know that the family stood together no matter what. “I’ll keep that in mind.”

“You do that, Red.”

She rolled her eyes. “My name’s Kenzie.”

“I know. I like Red too, though. Plus, it’s fun to see you get all rattled when I call you that.”

And she found this man attractive? She was seriously losing it. It must just be the nonexistent heat talking. Once she was fully immersed in her new job and life, she wouldn’t be thinking about Dare and those sexy forearms of his again.

At least, she hoped.

Hosted by: Book Enthusiast Promotions

book blurb

The Sergeant

“You don’t ever have to keep anything you feel locked up, Clay. I’m your Dom, and whatever you need from me, I’ll gladly give to you.”

– Sergeant Logan Pierce

Police Officer Clay Foster is finally at peace and happy with his life. He enjoys his career as a member of Houston’s SWAT team, and he loves submitting to his Dom in the bedroom. His life is perfect, until one cruel act destroys Clay’s bubble of happiness. Shattered trust forces Clay to reevaluate his career, his relationship, and himself.

Sergeant Logan Pierce is the leader of Houston’s elite SWAT team. On the force, he’s the best at what he does. In private, the most important thing in his life is taking care of his submissive, Clay. Clay is his whole world, and Logan will do whatever is necessary to keep him safe. Even if that means going up against Clay’s stubbornness in order to help him heal.

Can Logan and Clay work together to rebuild their happiness? Can they find their way back to the shared passion of Dominance and submission? Or will their love and relationship end before it’s truly begun?

excerpt

Two weeks had passed since Clay walked out of Logan’s office in a rage. They’d continued to work together, managing to do so well. They kept to their word this time and put their personal stuff on hold while at work. Except for tonight. Tonight was different.

The team had taken one of the large unmarked SUVs for this operation. On the ride back, Clay was seated next to Logan. Without meaning to, Clay looked over and made eye contact with Logan. Once he had, he found it difficult to look away. They ignored the conversations of the others in the vehicle with them as they gazed at each other, while the two feet separating them felt like nothing. Logan’s eyes dropped to his mouth. Out of habit, Clay bit his lip. Logan’s eyes flashed back to his. Even in the semi-darkness of the truck, Clay could see that there was heat in that gaze. Hot sexual heat. Clay didn’t have to be a mind reader to tell what Logan was thinking. He was thinking of touches and kisses and bodies coming together. Clay’s breathing shallowed, his skin prickled with anticipation. He saw a muscle tense in Logan’s jaw and realized he was holding himself back. Clay cursed under his breath and turned to stare out the window for the rest of the ride.

That was stupid of him. He knew Logan would take what had just happened as encouragement. And he was right. Inside the station, Logan casually stood outside his office door, talking to their team members as they passed. But when Clay came abreast of him, Logan’s hand closed over his wrist before he could pass. Clay stopped and turned. He pulled his arm out of Logan’s hold, both for appearances sake and because he couldn’t take Logan touching him, holding him in his firm grip. It made him think of other times … of Logan holding him down, restraining him while he–

Clay forced himself to put that out of his head.

The Detective’s Pleasure

“You’ll kneel for me without me having to tell you to. And when you do, you’ll feel so much better. Trust me.”
– Detective Sam Roberts

Officer Ryan Bennett: Ambitious and smart, Ryan Bennett is a young officer on Houston’s police force. He’s pursuing his dream of being promoted to the city’s elite SWAT team with a single mindedness that won’t accept any outcome but success. But that isn’t his only dream. Ryan wants more than a coveted position on SWAT. He wants to be owned by a strong Dominant. To give himself up to a Dom who will make him shudder with pleasure beneath a firm yet loving hand. Unfortunately, Ryan has had nothing but failure in that part of his life. Now, he’s hidden that dream away from everyone, including himself. And he refuses to let anyone close enough to see what he truly desires, and who he truly is.

Detective Sam Roberts: Cool and calm, Detective Sam Roberts is good at reading people, during the day as a detective and at night as a Dom. He easily sees past the hard layer of arrogance surrounding Officer Ryan Bennett to the hurt submissive hiding beneath. He wants to help Ryan, even though the stubborn young man resists him. But Sam isn’t one to back down from a challenge. He’s determined to help Ryan embrace the soft, giving nature of his submissive side. Using both a gentle hand and the sting of the whip, he’ll work to coax Ryan’s submission free. But what will Sam do if he’s successful? Let Ryan go as promised? Or give the young officer the very thing he’s wanted for so long?

Ryan blinked. “Did I do something wrong?”

Sam sat on the bed near Ryan’s head. “No, you didn’t. That felt good and I’d love to feel more of it.”

Ryan frowned in confusion. “Then why’d you pull away?”

“Because you’re not ready for this.”

Heat rushed through him, but now, it was from anger, rather than arousal. “What the fuck, Roberts? I’m not here to play games!”

Sam gently stroked a hand up his arm. “Neither am I.”

He jerked away from Sam’s touch as much as the ropes would allow. “Then why do you keep playing them?”

“You think I’m playing games because you’re impatient and you don’t want to listen to what your Dominant is telling you.”

“Damn right, I’m impatient, Roberts! I told you I wanted to play.”

Ryan’s eyes widened as Sam moved with surprising speed. He climbed back on the bed to straddle his waist, squeezing his sides with his thighs. A sharply pained cry was startled from him as Sam pinched his already abused nipples between tightly clenched fingers. He was about to demand that Sam let him go, but the other man spoke first.

“First of all, I told you to stop calling me Roberts. You will call me Sam or Sir. I don’t ever want to hear my last name out of your mouth again, do you understand?”

Ryan’s face was hot with anger, his eyes burning with tears he refused to shed, but he nodded.

“Good.” Sam eased up on the pinch he had on Ryan’s nipples. “Second. You are the submissive. You don’t tell me what you want to do unless I ask. I decide what we do. And if I decide that what we need is to sit next to each other and talk, or for you to be tied up while I ask you questions, then that’s what we’ll do.” He increased the pressure again, making Ryan’s torso jerk up at the sting. “You’ll get my cock in your mouth or in your ass when I decide you’re ready for it. Not when you demand it. Is that understood?”

Ryan’s answer was a yes whispered through clenched teeth. Sam released his grip to rub his palms softly over the abused skin.

“I’m going to untie you and you’ll stay here with me for a few minutes.”

His jaw clenched hard to hold back all the curses he wanted to spew, Ryan waited silently while Sam untied the ropes. Once he was free, he sat up, rubbing his wrists. “How long do I have to sit here?”

Sam smirked. “At least until your erection has gone down.”

Another flush crawled up Ryan’s neck at that comment, but he didn’t respond. Sam rejoined him on the bed. He put an arm around his shoulders and pulled him up against him. Ryan sat there stiffly, refusing to give Sam the satisfaction of relaxing against him. Sam persisted, however, caressing his arm in long, slow strokes, occasionally moving up to rub the back of his neck or slide a hand into his hair. Eventually, he pressed a kiss to his temple.

“You can go now if you’d like.”

Ryan hesitated for a moment before he moved to get off the bed. Unsure what to say, he kept his eyes fixed on the floor as he pulled on his clothes. But he could feel Sam’s eyes on him the whole time. When he was dressed, he finally looked at Sam again. He sat there on the bed, his dark hair rumpled, chest and feet bare, jeans still unzipped. He looked nice and relaxed, which irritated Ryan even more than he already was. He didn’t bother to keep that irritation out of his voice as he asked a question before leaving.

“Let me guess. I’m supposed to abstain from masturbation until you give me permission?”

Sam shook his head. “Nope. You can jerk off all you want. But you won’t be getting any orgasms from me until you give me what I’m looking for.”

About the Author

Alison Bliss

Alison

As the youngest of five girls, Alison Bliss has never turned down a challenge…or been called by the right name. Her writing career may have started out as a dare by one of her sisters, but Alison hasn’t put her pen down since.

She grew up on a small island off the Texas Gulf Coast, where most of her childhood vacations consisted of camping or hunting trips to the deer lease. Although she’ll always be a Texan at heart, Alison currently resides in the Midwest with her Iowa farm-boy husband and their two sons. With so much testosterone in her home, it’s no wonder she writes “girl books.”

She’s an animal lover, a closet video game enthusiast, and believes the best way to know if someone is your soul mate is by canoeing with them because if you both make it back alive, it’s obviously meant to be. Alison’s an avid romance reader who enjoys penning the type of books she loves to read most: fun, steamy love stories with heart, heat, laughter, and usually a cowboy or two. As she calls it, “Romance…with a sense of humor.”

BT Urruela

BT

BT Urruela is a combat wounded amputee, purple heart recipient, contemporary author who has written both independent and traditionally published books. He is a RARE under 40 award recipient, Rockwood Summit High School and Rockwood School District Hall of Fame inductee, Co-founder and Brand Ambassador for VETSports, Ambassador for Tampa Sports Academy, People Magazine Tribute for Heroes winner, Cover Model, Motivational Speaker and Philanthropist.
At an early age he began writing short stories having been inspired by reading books authored by RL Stein. His maternal grandmother’s bookshelf was filled with literature that inspired his young mind and cultivated his vivid imagination.
Upon graduation from high school his desire to have a 20-year military career was cut drastically short by an improvised explosive device. Taking the life of his commander, and leaving the remaining four team members badly wounded.
After careful consideration and multiple surgeries, he along with the guidance of his doctors made the decision to amputate. It was the only surgery he ever left with a smile on his face, as if a weight had been lifted. He struggled for two more years through 4-5 hours of physical therapy a day, five days a week to get adapted to his new prosthetic. He medically retired from the Army with high hopes. His focus on restoring his physical shape being the most eminent battle caused him to neglect his psychological state.
Meeting people was difficult and there were very few options for veterans to utilize that would stimulate friendship, and ultimately, allow communication barriers to be breached. After moving to Tampa, Florida, he co-founded the veteran community sports nonprofit, VETSports, with two other combat wounded veterans. It was their mission to change the way veterans transitioned back to civilian life through organized team sports, community involvement, and leadership opportunities.
After being invited to attend a photoshoot with acclaimed photographer Michael Stokes, he flew to California in December of 2014, with incredible excitement. His photos were so widely publicized that he soon gained exposure to the literary world like he’d always dreamed of. That opportunity launched him into his present writing career. He co-wrote the novel ‘A Lover’s Lament with author KL Grayson. The following year he released first solo novel, ‘Into the Nothing’ and will be releasing Wicked Little Words with author Stevie J. Cole. He is now writing full-time.

A little about me. Let’s see where to start.
I love HEA stories, as long as they come packing a little heat. I need some excitement, some angst, and moments that make me fan my face are always good too. I am an Illinois girl, born and raised. Simple and true, it honestly doesn’t take much to make me happy. I love the little things; they truly mean the most. I may have a slight addiction to my new Keurig—oh my, that thing is a godsend. And so fast too. I have two children who truly are my very best friends, and their faces never fail to put a smile on my face. I have been married to my husband for sixteen years, and even though at times I want to beat him with a stick, I would never change the years we have had. We have learned and fallen, only to pick each other up, dust off the ache, and help each other make it right.
I am one of those authors that adore my fans. I love to hear from you. After all, it is because of each one of you that I continue to write. I look forward to your feedback.

I’m Kane Caldwell, a romance author. Writing started years ago as a hobby but quickly turned into a passion. I am the epitome of a country boy with my jeans, t-shirt, hat (No, not a cowboy hat. Lol), scruffy face, and work boots on, driving my truck and definitely not a guy you’d picture writing erotic romance. I’m in my mid-forties but my mind tells me differently along with keeping up with my two awesome teenage boys. I live in the south where the weather is warm but most times sweltering hot. When I have down time, I love to be surrounded by family, friends, great food, or engrossed in a good book. And of course, putting my erotic imagination to work, bringing you stories of love, lust and everything in between.

KL Kreig

KL

As a USA Today Bestselling author, I write stories that are deeply emotional with flawed characters, because humans ARE flawed and if we read about perfect characters living in their perfect world, first of all, snoozer, but secondly, we never experience the gratification of redemption.

Outside of writing, I’m just a regular ol’ Midwest girl who likes Game of Thrones and am obsessed with Modern Family and The Goldbergs. I run, I eat, I run, I eat. It’s a vicous cycle. I love carbs, but there’s love-hate relationship with my ass and thighs. Mostly hate. I like a good cocktail (oh hell…who am I kidding? I love any cocktail). I’m a huge creature of habit, but I’ll tell you I’m flexible. I read every single day and if I don’t get a chance…watch the hell out. My iPad and me: BFFs. I’m direct and I make no apologies for it. I swear too much. I love alternative music and in my next life I want to be a bad-ass female rocker. I hate, hate, hate spiders, telemarketers, liver, acne, winter and loose hairs that fall down my shirt (don’t ask, it’s a thing).

From
Back Cover:

This is my collection of “songs” that I
wrote, when music was in my heart…. Saying my early adult life was turbulent,
is a slight understatement. I had fun, I broke hearts, and I had mine broke
more than enough to compensate. Music Helped me. I’d always hoped to be a
fabulous songwriter, but as I evolved, I realized that path would’ve just led
me to more heartache. I grew up, and so did my way of dealing with my emotions.
Music, sadly, has left my heart. I no longer hear inspiration on the wind. Instead,
I now enjoy peace and quiet….. on a farm with a million kids and animals! But
I still remember where I came from, who I loved, and who loved me. It is to
honor their place in making me who I am, that I decided to share the
“song” and tell the story of how each “poem” came to be. I
hope you enjoy this very private peek into my heart.

Blurb:

I won’t make any outrageous claims to a troubled past
or anything that might excuse my behavior now, or then. I alone, know my
demons. I live today with a clear conscience knowing that every step of the
journey has been worth it. I do not hold grudges, nor do I apologize to those
who do. I regret nothing. I have fought for my happiness; friend and foe, and
worse.. myself.

I’ve been afraid of happiness. I’ve been afraid of
success. Failing was easy, but it was never an option. I am at peace with
myself, and I am LOVE incarnate. I’ve loved many, and many have loved me. With
the love, others have hated me. Let them battle their own demons.

In the following pages, I’ve collected the majority of
“songs” I’d written years ago. I say songs, only because at the time they came
into my head they came through on a melody. I had planned on becoming a
songwriter at one time in my life, but that was never my dream. So I never pursued
it. Instead, I decided a little while back that I still needed to publish them,
but as a reflection of what emotions and powers have shaped me. I added short
descriptions to these “poems” when I first started putting them all in one
place. This collection is about LOVE, and everything that goes with it.. the
searing passionate love, the torturous-I’d-rather-die-love, the despair of
never feeling it again-love. And everything in between. Some of the blurbs
attached to the poems I chose to keep the same, because they (when originally
written) showcased who I was at the time. How I felt, how I saw life. This is
after all, a deep look into my own personal journey. And if for no one else’s
understanding but mine, I chose to keep them as they were. Others, I either
re-wrote them to sound a little less offensive, or I added to them as an
update.

I have changed the names of the people I discuss, and
some of them I discuss frequently because they were such an influence on my
life. I’ve divided this book into “Chapters” named after each of the men who’ve
accompanied me in love. Whether they ever felt the same, I do not know, nor do
I ever wish to know. Yet another reason to have changed their names.

In closing, yes, I’ve been in love many times. I’ve
loved freely, and I’ve never discriminated. I’ve had more than enough outward
confidence that I enjoyed sharing myself. And I am not ashamed. Men have
notches on their belts… I had notches on my bedposts. And I am not ashamed….
I’ve lived my way, according to my rules and my desires. I can only hope more
people can feel and say the same thing when they reflect on their pasts…

To those men that helped me find myself, I am
eternally grateful. I had to kiss a lot of frogs before I found my one true
Prince.

Excerpt #1:
KEITH
(My first love)

Prince Charming

06-17-98

Once
upon a time

You
were the only one that I loved

You
were all I thought that I’d need

The
only one in my life

I
thought it would last

Prince
Charming came
To
make my dreams come true

Yes
I thought that he was you

Just
how wrong could I be?

You
broke my heart, my soul, my dreams

You
put me down like I didn’t mean a thing

I
thought you loved me

Wasn’t
I your everything?

You
said you were committed

It
doesn’t count if it’s not to me

Fairy-tales,

Of
“Shinning White Knights”

Sound
sweet to me

If I
could just find one right

Instead
of searching in vain

And
making mistakes

Of
choosing another boy

Whose
“Life of Love” was all fake

You
broke my heart, my soul, my dreams

You
put me down like I didn’t mean a thing

I
thought you loved me

Wasn’t
I your “everything”?

You
said you were committed

It
doesn’t count if it’s not to me

So at the time I wrote this, I was
pregnant with my daughter. I believe my first husband and I were separated but
trying to get back together. But I’m not sure this song was inspired by him. I
think I was upset because of him but I drew the emotions and inspiration from
my first love (Keith).

I think because of my fragile state of
being, plus having baby #2 with what was looking was going to be no father, I
think it all just made me think about those dreams I had had and what was
really going on with my life right now?

Keith was a big part of my life when I was
just turning into a woman. I gave up a lot of my happiness for his, and for him
to succeed in life. I just hope wherever he is, everything has worked out for
him. I wish him well.

Excerpt #2:
My Daddy

Daddy’s ‘lil girl

08-17-1998

I’m
your baby girl

At
least that’s what you told me

When
I came into this world

And
you knew someday

I’d
grow up to spread my wings

And
my own eyes would have

To
see all of those things

That
you told me were wrong

And
that you knew best.

I’ve
got your intuition

It
just kicked in too late

For
me to know what I was doing

Would
cause you to hate

Daddy’s
‘lil girl

You
said I betrayed you

But
you betrayed me

“Family
will never leave you”

At
least that’s what you told me

Said
you’d be there forever

Well
forever’s almost gone.

But
Daddy I’m still here

Waiting
for the day when you realize

That
I’m my father’s daughter

And
I’ve got more than Daddy’s eyes

I’m
as stubborn as a bull

Very
set in my ways.

You
missed my wedding day

You
made the choice to push

Instead
of give me away

You’re
missing your grandkids

A
boy and a girl

They’re
growing up fast

And
they’re my whole world

Wasn’t
I once yours

I
was Daddy’s girl

Now
I’m Daddy’s sad girl

Oh
Daddy’s sad ‘lil girl

Now, not really much of a song, per say…
I’ve over the years added, edited this song and what not… I’ve lost the
original (I think?). This is of course about my Daddy; a few days before I had
my first daughter. Last time he cared if I existed was July 23, 1996; before he
dropped me off at the hospital to have my half-black son saying he wasn’t the
father of a “Ni**er-loving whore.”

I was Daddy’s little girl. He even made a
charm for me once that

I was supposed to get when I turned
eighteen…. I’m almost

twenty-eight at this moment I’m typing…

Yeah, don’t see that happening.

Really not easy being rejected by a man.
Certainly not by your father who you feel is supposed to shelter and protect
you… No matter what. I could write more, but, there’s not much left to
say……..

————————————————————————————–

This is my update.. I am 36 right now, my
dad has been gone for six years. Right before he died, my family (including my
kids) went to see him at his bedside. It was one of the single most painful
moments of my life.

I’d spent fourteen years, not seeing him,
not talking to him. Ten of those years I was mostly a single mom. A single mom
with three kids, living in the same town, at times-right down the street. I’d
gotten used to not having him in my life. I had to make my own way, and this
inevitably sent me into the arms of the next newest savior.

Then, right at the end, when his departure
from this world and my life for good was unavoidable, I had to lose him all
over again. We made peace with each other. He hugged my son. My son, who for
fourteen years could’ve learned so much from his grandpa, but he and his sisters
were denied because of a foolish man’s pride.

There was no man that had a greater
influence on my early adult life besides my Dad. Everything I did was dictated
by what was and wasn’t acceptable with him.

“Don’t date black people.”

I have two black kids.

“Blood is thicker than water, but if you
disgrace me, I disown you.”

So I left home at fifteen and at times,
only had my children for family in my life.

“Women should know their place, they
should be subservient to Man.” That was the toughest lesson to unlearn.

I’m grateful for everything,
good and bad my father taught me. I miss him terribly. I feel robbed.

FINDING THE RIGHT GIRL — Can’t Resist Series
— A USA TODAY Bestseller —

Having loved and lost twice in his life, Brian Sullivan decides a casual, no-hearts-broken fling might be just what he needs. Unfortunately, being the nice guy poster boy and all, he isn’t exactly versed in the fine art of flings. So he looks to the outrageously ‘unique,’ provokingly button-pushing Tessa Daniels for a crash course. There’s absolutely no way he’s falling in love with this one…right?

Tessa has no idea what she was thinking telling Brian that she was some sort of fling expert. She’s never been flung before and she sure as heck doesn’t know where or how to begin flinging a guy like Brian. Not only does the man have her being more herself than she’s ever been in her life, but he’s the only person she knows who seems to have as many demons and skeletons in the closet as she does.

What’s more, he’s got her thinking of the one thing she stopped letting herself even hope for years ago…a happily ever after.

LOVE, DIAMONDS, AND SPADES — Cactus Creek Series
— A USA TODAY Bestseller —

Fiercely independent single mom Quinn Christiansen has good reason not to trust men, seeing as how her ex gambled away their savings and left her to care for their ailing newborn on her own. So color her pissed when the universe goes and decides to make the one man in Cactus Creek not afraid of her ball-busting charm another gambling musician. A ridiculously handsome, gruffly sweet, charmingly pushy one at that.

Rylan Grey isn’t used to getting a woman so worked up…well, not in a bad way, at least. But somehow, his mere existence seems to annoy the guarded and gorgeous Quinn to no end. Sure, he’s made some gambles to get to where he’s at, but they were all of the life variety, with risks as important as the rewards—and not a single dollar in play. While Rylan never wagers anything he’s not willing to lose—namely his heart—he’s more than ready to ante up once he sees past Quinn’s icy defenses.

She could just be his riskiest gamble yet.

BEFORE THAT NIGHT — Unfinished Love Series
— A USA TODAY Bestseller —

Before that night, Addison Milan had been just a college dropout secretly raising her two young siblings in a beat-up minivan.

Before that night, Caine Spencer had been just a hardened cop sent to check out the claims of suspected child neglect involving the woman he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about for months.

Before that night, Addison would never have thought the man she’d been fighting hard not to fall for—her only friend in her new shadow of a life—would be in a position to rip her family apart.

Before that night, Caine would never have believed any woman could make him fall head over heels, let alone make him feel so damn compelled to look the other way when it came to his job.

Then that one perfect night changed everything.

SNOW DAYS from Melanie Shawn
— a *BONUS* Hope Falls novel —

She wanted to feel pleasure… After twenty-nine years and countless dates, high school English teacher Amy Maguire realizes she hasn’t once felt that spark, that chemistry over a man.

That is, until the sexy new History teacher walks into her classroom…

He wanted to forget pain… Matt Kellan knows he’ll never love again. After tragically losing his wife five years ago, Matt Kellan has been in a holding pattern. Every woman he meets wants to fill a void that he knows will never be filled.

Until he meets Amy.

ChristMISSfire by Adrian Bloom

A. Giannoccaro and Tamsyn Bester, writing as ADRIAN BLOOM, bring you a Christmas Short Story that will make you laugh-out-loud!

img_5463ChristMISSfire by Adrian Bloom
— SYNOPSIS —

A misfire.

That’s how this ridiculousness started.

Well actually, it started with a noise complaint and now I have a proverbial target on my back. Just when I think things cannot get any worse, I’m tasked with working protective detail at the Christmas Charity Ball – the biggest event of the social calendar.

Did I mention I’m the newest rookie in the bullpen? Or that I’m the only female officer working in Hastings?

What started off as an opportunity to redeem myself and be taken seriously amongst my male colleagues turns in to an auction involving frat boys with red thongs, me bidding on an infuriating frat boy with his own money and dropping my firearm.

It wouldn’t be that bad if I hadn’t accidentally shot the Police Commissioner, but I did, and he has the stitches in his ass to prove it.

ChristMISSfire is a short Christmas comedy written by Adrian Bloom, a pen name created by two authors who decided to step out of their comfort zones and write something new. This story introduces Andie and Noah, who’s story is coming mid 2017.
